Location: York

Who are we?
Broadstone is a thriving consultancy offering a wide range of services in pensions, investments, and employee benefits. Established in 1989, the business has grown from a small team to a workforce of over 600, brought together by a desire to deliver a personal, expert service to all who put their faith in us. We take pride in assisting small and medium sized pension schemes who lack the time or resources to address increasingly challenging issues themselves.
Our values are at the heart of everything we do and drive us forward every day. We strive to attract, develop, and retain top talent to work together to provide the best possible client outcomes. Our team feel empowered to share ideas to continuously improve our business. The impressive results of both client and staff surveys are a source of great pride. We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Why work for us?
Through our generous study package, we will support you in your pursuit of a professional qualification with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). You will work within a friendly, supportive environment and quickly become an integral and valuable part of our actuarial team. Your training will follow a structured programme and focus on commercial as well as technical skills in addition to your professional study. The work is varied and this variety affords you insight into the different roles available to you as your career progresses. Whatever your preference, you will be encouraged and empowered to achieve your ambitions.
Trainee Actuary - The Role:
An Actuary is a skilled professional who uses maths to solve complex problems so if you enjoy working with large sets of data, complicated calculations and working as part of a team, we can offer you a very rewarding career.

Our team is always looking at fresh ways of thinking, developing solutions to overcome the challenges faced.
The successful candidate will work directly with experienced actuaries and consultants helping to advise our trustee and corporate clients in all areas of pension consulting. You will have the opportunity to attend client meetings in your first year and as you progress you will eventually take responsibility for your own schemes.
